Attention. Belonging. Care.

My work is grounded in a deepening connection with the coastal landscapes of the Mornington Peninsula. I return to these wild shores for rest, solitude, and a renewed sense of perspective.

Although I have lived here for some time, this is not the landscape I grew up with. Painting has become a way of getting to know this coastline, discovering new viewpoints, changing light, and unexpected moments with each visit.

Through close observation and time spent in nature, I continue to build a relationship with this place, finding a sense of belonging through solitude and the quiet act of looking.

Here’s the final. Oil on aluminium. I love this kind of composition, depth, perspective and a big sky.
Work in progress. I’ve set myself a new challenge painting on aluminium. It’s such a tricky surface very smooth, but this can produce interesting painterly effects. This work will be part of my upcoming solo show later this year. #wip #
