There are lots of young banksias around where I live. They are not very tall and shaped in the most interesting way. I love their large deep coloured leaves and I’m forever drawn to the seed pods of which I collect from the ground. I have been getting out early to catch the beautiful light as spring arrived here in Melbourne. The fresh crisp air fills me with joy, hope and inspiration.
I wanted to capture that magic that you can literally breathe, like fairy dust in the air.
