I have a new collection of small landscapes now av I have a new collection of small landscapes now available @red_hill_house in Red Hill. These original oil paintings are beautifully framed in natural wood by @dromanapictureframing. The 9 by 5 inch format holds a significant place in Australian art history, dating back to the 1889 exhibition organized by iconic artists Arthur Streeton, Tom Roberts, and Charles Conder. The paintings were created on 9x5” cigar box lids, a unique and intimate canvas for their impressionistic works. Their exhibition became a defining moment in Victorian art, showcasing the power of small-scale paintings.
