Day 24 #stradaeasel challenge. Revisiting yesterda Day 24 #stradaeasel challenge. Revisiting yesterday’s rose, this time in paint. The smooth surface of the panel is always a challenge at first, but after a while I start to understand it and the process becomes more about the manipulation of pigment rather than capturing the subject. Day 23 #stradaeasel challenge. Every time I work w Day 23 #stradaeasel challenge. Every time I work with charcoal I learn something new about ways I can manipulate it to be more painterly. I’m looking forward to experimenting more at a larger scale. There’s something really satisfying about losing the shapes and finding them again in the tonal grainy charcoal soup. #charcoalsketching #firstroseofspring #stradachallenge #tonaldrawing #charcoaldrawing #lineshapevalue #charcoaltextures
