One of the many highlights from my recent art resi One of the many highlights from my recent art residency in Tassie was delivering in person this painting of The Picker’s Hut to Matt, and seeing it hung alongside his eclectic collection of works by other artists who’ve stayed and created there. @matt.calvert is not only an incredible artist but also one of the kindest and most generous people I’ve met. His support, warmth, and vision make @thepickershut a truly special place to work and dream.

Looking back on a wonderfully productive and creat Looking back on a wonderfully productive and creative two weeks at the @thepickershut residency in Tasmania. I’m really pleased with the number of plein air sketches and studio paintings I was able to create. 👩‍🎨🌱 It felt so special to return for a second time and continue the work I began during my 2023 residency. Sharing the experience this time round with another artist @kate.carrillo.art added a fresh perspective, with new places to explore and stimulating ideas to talk about. Check out all the amazing locations I got to set up my easel! I’ve been home for a few days now, but my mind is still there, especially at night, when I find myself dreaming of walking through that beautiful landscape.
