I’ve been back a week now from my trip to Tasman I’ve been back a week now from my trip to Tasmania, where I’ve left a piece of my heart. 💙 Here are some of the artworks I created while at the residency. Some are completed, some I’ll come back to and some are just experiments. I started a few larger pieces too which are currently in the studio waiting to be finished. Just got back from a 3-week art residency in Tasma Just got back from a 3-week art residency in Tasmania and I’m finding it hard to put into words just how incredible this experience has been for me. Not only have I had time to relax, meditate, read, and write in a peaceful rural location, I’ve also painted, sketched and explored everyday, feeling constantly inspired by the natural beauty all around me. Tasmania is wild and wonderful, with fantastic mountains, picturesque rivers, theatrical skies, giant trees and an abundance of unique wildlife, not to mention it’s rich history. I’m completely enchanted and I know I’ll be coming back again soon. ⛴ A massive thank you to @matt.calvert for letting me stay and create at his beautiful light-filled studio @thepickershut 💙 . #artistinresidence#artistintasmania#inspiredbytasmania#tasmania#huonvalley#glaziersbaytasmania#oilpainter#artresidency
Imagine going to a magical place, surrounded by mo Imagine going to a magical place, surrounded by mountains, trees and water to just explore and paint! Well that’s what I’ve been doing down in Tasmania. ⛰ As well as having a little social media detox. It’s been amazing so far and I’m not heading back yet. I’ll be sharing the artwork later, but for now I’m keeping it all to myself and enjoying just being an artist. 🥰 #artistinresidencetasmania#painterinparadise#artistatwork
